Early Intervention

Ages 18 months – 5 years

Building A Foundation

Through Naturalistic Learning and Discrete Trial Teaching our team implements learning programs appropriate for your child’s development stage while meeting the the goals created by the clinician and family. Early intervention should never be restrictive and that is why our methods are naturalistic and encourage play, creativity and discovery. Early Intervention is key to long term ABA therapy success and your child’s foundation in developmental growth. This is why Behavior Independence starts clients as early as 18 months old to get an early start at providing the laying of this foundation.

“The average age of diagnosis for autism is 6, even though the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that all 18 and 24 month-olds be screened for ASD and other developmental delays..”

— Gordon, BCBA-D, 2009

“Early intervention can optimize outcomes, improve independence, and lessen long-term therapy costs.”

— Franz & Dawson, 2019

“Behaviorally, early intervention stops problematic behavior from becoming a habit as age increases.”
