Ownership

Behavior Independence is a multi-member LLC owned by professionals who have both experience in the ABA field as well as expertise in creating successful organizations. It is our goal to not only provide the best ABA, Speech and OT services in the area but to also contribute to the overall fields through consistent research and development of our services and investing in our team.

Our Professionals

Behavior Independence has a number of highly trained professionals that specialize in Autism and developmental delays. Every child receives and follows a specialized program created by your child’s Clinician with the help of the child’s family. It is vital to have the family’s input and expertise of their child to help create a program that meets your child’s specific needs as well as a program that meets the lifestyle and needs of the family.

Not only is your child assigned a Clinician that will best fit your family and child’s specific needs, but Behavior Independence also selects technicians to work with your child that have been vetted and trained by your child’s Clinician to fully understand and implement your child’s programs. Behavior Independence believes in the utilization of naturalistic teaching and making therapy a positive and fun experience.

Therapy Intake Process

Navigating insurance and intake packets can be overwhelming. Behavior Independence is there to guide and help you in each step of the process. Your first step is simply to reach out to us. Contact us at Info@BehaviorIndependence.com or call (907)-931-5548 where our Office Administrator can answer any questions and begin the process with you.

What to Expect during the Intake Process

  1. Welcome Packet

Complete the Welcome Packet that is sent to you by our Office Administrator. This packet is sent to you via Adobe so no need to print it out. Just follow the prompts and once finished it will automatically be returned to us. The Welcome Packet, and emailing of a copy of your Insurance card, allows our Billing team to begin the process of checking your Eligibility and Benefits with your insurance. Our Billing team will then contact you and explain your benefits and any out-of-pocket costs.

  2. Clinical Screening (ABA Therapy Only)

The Clinical Screening will be sent to you once the Welcome Packet is completed. The Screening is sent as a link via Google Forms and again is easy and simple to complete and requires no printing. The Clinical Screening is used to collect in formation that is required by the insurance companies and our clinicians in order to ensure proper scope of practice.

  3. Outcome Measures

Once you have completed the Clinical Screening your Clinician will contact you to send you electronic access to any assessments your insurance requires. These assessments are required and determine your child’s level of need and are vital to the authorization and continuation of Therapy.

  4. Initial Assessment

Once the Clinician has received all assessments and Behavior Independence has received authorization to conduct an Initial Assessment, the Clinician will contact you to schedule this in-person assessment. This assessment is used to collect data in order to write a individualized treatment plan for your child.

  5. Direct Services

Behavior Independence will submit all required documentation to your insurance for authorization for Direct services. Once received the Clinician will contact you to schedule ongoing direct therapy.

Depending on the insurance company, Behavior Independence has a short window to collect the required documents and submit to the Insurance company. This is true for the initial authorization to complete the assessment, the authorization to start direct services, and the renewal of authorization to continue direct services (every 6 months). Please understand that if we do not receive the required information within this timeframe you may need to start the onboarding process over again, or be placed on our waitlist. Completing in its entirety and submitting an ROI, Release of Information, to our Office Administrator will greatly assist us in collecting documents needed to start services. Please be sure to complete all documents in their entirety in order to ensure a timely start to services. Documents not fully completed may result in placing you on hold until documents can be completed in full.

You can also find a PDF of the Welcome Packet and the link to the Clinical Screening under Company Forms.
